Alison: My name is Alison (known as Ali). Devastated by the Sisters of Mercy split in 1985 I began to hungrily hunt down other goth bands. I first saw FoTN in 1988 maybe? They were supporting Gene Loves Jezebel at Rock City, Nottingham, England. Carl McCoy mumbled into the mic .."we're Fields of Etherline" - or so I thought and I spent the next week hunting for records by a band that didn't exist!
However they soon received good reviews in NME and Sounds and I became a firm fan of theirs. I went to many gigs up and down the country. My most memorable tour was in May 1989 which started off at London Marquee, excellent gig. I then went onto Norwich UEA, travelling in a camper van with my Neph die hard friend Jane and pal Johnny. At Norwich Carl and the boys were very good to us and chatted as Jane and I were hoping to start a fanzine up.
We travelled up to Glasgow Barrowlands to see them - where that night I went running into the hall, tried to jump up on my friend Tam's shoulders, missed, went crashing to the floor and literally saw stars!
I couldn't stand up, an ambulance was called and I was carted off to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where I spent the next two months with a broken back and had small pieces of shattered vertebrae sticking into my spinal cord! Thankfully I made a near full recovery and can walk (and still dance like a maniac!)
Whilst I was in hospital The Nephilim sent me an Orchid in a box all done up with Black Ribbon (which horrified the nursing staff!) and delighted me! They also sent me a rubber plant - which I still have to this day!
Back to the present.. I am now a single Mum with a little girl aged three, and I am a young 41!). I really miss the old days and would dearly love to contact other Neph fans. I still love FoTN, Mission, Sisters, Rosetta Stone, but also like a lot of todays stuff too.
I am planning on undertaking a Wicca and Herb lore course which is something I have wanted to do for a very long time. The Nephilim's music was so intensely powerful and I don't think any of todays bands can match that.

I've been a fan of FOTN since 1987. My first contact with them was the single Blue Water, which is what led me on to buy Dawnrazor. Other bands that I like include: The Mission, The Sisters Of Mercy, Bauhaus, Corpus Delicti, Rubicon, Sensorium, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Rammstein. I'm also a big fan of well-done movie scores, particularly if they're orchestral.

I first became a Fields of the Nephilim fan in 1991, the year that Carl McCoy left the band coincidentally enough! I lost interest around the time of 1996.
My interest in the Nephilim was revived in 1999 when I heard that Carl and Tony were working on a new album. I was never a fan of Rubicon. And I originally hated Zoon. However, I am now a huge fan of Zoon, I listen to it regularly. I do also like the Wright brothers' new band, Last Rites.
I have listened to countless bootlegs of concerts and unreleased material (sorry Carl and co!).
As a hobby, I compiled a fairly comprehensive discography. Edited versions can be found on the Sumerland web site itself and also Frank Wenner's superb web site. I have also been trying to work out the lyrics to every Carl McCoy-penned song (including unreleased tracks such as Subsanity and Senseless). I do admit that my efforts are not 100% accurate. Although I have written to Carl McCoy and Lynn S with the suggestion that they be put on the official Nephilim web site, and I have offerred typing services!
I live in Kent, England. At the time of typing, I am 5' 11", brown eyes, very long brown hair, size nine feet and weigh around 9 stone(...ish!). I have various interests, too many to list. I tend to be a jack of all trades, but master of none; as I simply never seem to have enough time to devote my attention to any one thing, these days. Being fairly good at writing, I hope to write a novel sometime before I die!
Being an agnostic and atheist, I have no interest in religion or concepts of an after-life.

Trond: My name is Trond Hjorteland, aka Eblis (don't use that nickname much though). I am currently living in Oslo, Norway. My daily life consists of studying astrophysics (cosmology); I'm currently trying to finish my Cand. Scient. thesis (equiv. to Master) at the University of Oslo. My "nightime life" mainly consists of running the goth club Gotham Nights, where I'm in charge of the webpages, the booking of bands, and making of flyers. Otherwise, I am also very interested in art, especially classical figurative art, and have been fortunate enough to model for a couple of Norwegian artists; Odd Nerdrum and Natalie Radina Holland. I'm also running their homepages. My first introduction to the wonderful world of the Fields of the Nephilim started in 1991, when I got hold of "Elizium". I was totally mesmerized by their music, and still are, and most probably always will.
